Teachers needed to be able to quickly and easily select appropriate reading materials for their pupils. The process of manual selection was time consuming - often taking hours - with no guarantee that the most appropriate resources were selected.

Sue McCaldon, Kickstart Project  Developer, asked Custom Built Software to help with a computer solution that was tailored to their special needs.

Using state-of-the-art methods within a DSDM RAD framework and the close involvement of the reading specialists and teaching staff Custom Built Software built the Book Database within a six week period.

The Book Database allows its users to store information about any reading materials and allows complex searches to be easily and quickly performed within seconds.
